San Mauro Mare is a quiet and intimate resort situated 15 kilometres far from the glamorous beach of Rimini and is the ideal holiday destination for people looking for utmost relax.
This small resort hosts equipped hotels and family-run inns which provide accommodation a short distance from the sea and the main seaside resorts of the Adriatic Coast at reasonable prices.
Since 2002, there has been a further attraction along the coast of San Mauro Mare: "Fido Beach", an area designed to welcome animals where both tourists and local inhabitants can walk or lie down on the beach together with their pets. Even some hotels in San Mauro Mare provide equipped areas to meet the requirements of both animals and their owners.
The beaches of Rimini, Riccione and Cesenatico are easily accessible from San Mauro Mare and so is the city centre of San Mauro Pascoli, a small village where the poet Giovanni Pascoli was born in 1855. San Mauro is an internationally renowned fashion centre since it hosts important shoe factories.

Not to be missed...
The native house of Giovanni Pascoli, where he was born and spent his childhood. Here are some rare editions of his works, autograph letters and antiques. During summer, guided tours and literary events are usually held here.
The guided tour of Villa Torlonia, another residence of the Pascoli family and an outstanding example of the original architecture from Romagna dating back to the XVII/XVIIIth centuries, as well as the visit of the nearby nineteenth-century church.
The local street market which takes place here every Monday morning from mid May up to mid September and the excursions across the hinterland, organized by the Tourist Office of San Mauro Mare to let tourists discover local tastes and products.
San Crispino Fair, which is held here in autumn and is dedicated to footwear.
