The beach of the Adriatic Coast is the main attraction of the Emilia Romagna region and, together with its traditional hospitality, has contributed to the development of a large seaside resort.

From the mouth of the river Po to the promontory of Gabicce, there is a 110 kilometre-long coastal strip which connects the lidos of Comacchio to Cattolica and hosts the beautiful beaches of Ravenna, Cervia, Cesenatico, Gatteo, Savignano, San Mauro, Bellaria, Rimini, Riccione and Misano. It is about 100 metres large and provided with a fine and white sand.

The Adriatic Sea is provided with shallow waters and a fine sand and isn't affected by streams. The shoreline is the ideal place to make long walks and bathing attendants are skilled and always available.
Children and adults can play in total safety. Water is mild starting from May and so is the climate till September.

A short distance from the beach are most hotels of the Adriatic Coast. There are campsites and luxurious four-star hotels, as well as holiday villages, apartment hotels, cottages and small family-run inns. Many accommodation facilities offer special agreements with the nearby bathing establishments. Some of them also offer families with children special services, such as comfortable bedrooms and accessible prices.
